Sudeep Banerjee

Senior Vice President, Strategic Accounts, Learning and Development

Sudeep is a highly experienced L&D executive offering more than 20 years of experience serving as a tactical partner to global Fortune 500 corporations—helping businesses reach next-level success by tapping into the power of human capital and technology efficiency. He has championed multi-faceted L&D solutions, leading vision, strategy, design, and execution for corporations with large and complex ecosystems.  He has established learning transformation and corporate learning strategies as a partner and key advisor to corporate executives. Responsible for strategic account management, he provides leadership in transformation and process transition to ensure strategic partnership success. He anchors strategic deals across all industry verticals and supports critical customers touch points.

Russell Ramesh

Senior Vice President, Digital Learning


Russell is a pioneering digital learning and educational technology strategist with expertise in instructional and learning design, and ground-up development of digital learning products. He held key management roles at R.R. Donnelley & Sons and Hurix Systems prior to joining Aptara and possesses more than a decade of business leadership experience. Russell heads up Aptara’s Digital Learning Group and is responsible for the conceptualization and development of next-generation digital learning products—adaptive courseware, immersive eBooks, virtual learning labs, animations, interactive simulations, and game-based learning. Russell has been on the executive and steering committees of leading digital publishing and educational technology forums, including the International Digital Publishing Forum, IMS Global, and EdNET. He is a member of NADP and the Maryland India Business Roundtable. 

Joe Valenti

Senior Vice President, Learning Solutions


After two successful years as head of sales for QBS Learning, Joe returned to Aptara to head its Educational Publishing division, where he had previously been the sales director. He currently manages the division’s solutions architects, sales force, and account managers. Prior to QBS, Joe worked in the corporate training industry, teaching sales and leadership techniques. When not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors in Southern California, where he lives with his family. 


Daren Harber

Senior Vice President, Managed Services

Daren Harber leads Aptara’s Managed Service Group. He joined the company in 2006 and has more than 17 years of experience growing global service sales, developing strategic customer solutions and implementing long-lasting client partnerships. With a background in learning and development, Harber also has extensive experience in training outsourcing, digital content transformation and technology-based solutions.



Nancy Stokes

Senior Vice President, Professional Services

Nancy has built Aptara’s learning consultant practice from the ground up. Nearly 25 years of experience in sales, management, and recruiting for the learning industry ensures she is able to attract and maintain relationships with trainers, curriculum developers, and learning strategists at the top of their fields. Her department’s own training and onboarding process ensures that those consultants provide the consistent, top-of-the-industry services Aptara is known for. Membership in a number of professional organizations, including ATD, the Society for Technical Communications, the Society for Human Resource Management, the American Management Association, and the International Society for Performance Improvement, keeps her current on learning industry trends. 

Jackie Lissy Brustein

Executive Director, Content Research, Rights & Clearances


Jackie brings to Aptara 15 years of media research and intellectual property licensing, rights, and clearance experience. Previously, she was the head of research for Getty Images. During her seven-year tenure with QBS Learning, she was instrumental to the explosive growth of its media Research, Rights & Clearance department. It was at QBS that she pioneered the use of global image and text service contracts with major educational publishers.

Maria Bartoszewicki

Senior Director, Digital


Maria’s background in educational publishing, eLearning, and digital technology informs her work with interactive, omni-channel eBook design and development at Aptara. She assembled the company’s team of 250 interactive eBook specialists, including content architects, instructional and UI designers, and CSS and HTML5 experts—a team that has made Aptara a dominant force in eBook production. Her unique workflow solutions and scalable production models for Aptara’s clients have yielded more than 1,300 digital textbooks for various web browsers, the iPad, and other mobile devices.

David George

Senior Director, Editorial


David joined Aptara in 2010, bringing 28 years of publisher-side experience as a managing editor at the IEEE, John Wiley & Sons, and Pearson Education, and as the director of business operations for Bloomberg Press. He oversees all aspects of Aptara’s global copyediting program. Based in New York, he conducts month-long individual and group training sessions at three locations in India. He is also responsible for all testing, recruitment, and hiring of copy editors, as well as the creation of all testing and training materials. 

Ashish Madan

Senior Vice President of Business Relations and Contact Center Operations

Ashish oversees client relations for Aptara’s U.S. customer relationship management (CRM) clients. He has more than 25 years of executive-level experience in business development, customer support, and corporate training. Prior to Aptara, Ashish held senior positions in the media, publishing, and retail sectors, overseeing public and press relations as well as internal communications. He has also worked in corporate advertising and product placement. Ashish holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from the University of Delhi. In his free time, he enjoys trekking, water skiing, and theater. He lives in Plano, Texas, with his family.

Sonny Regelman

Sr. Director, Content Development


Sonny brings 20 years of experience in product development, product management, and sales to Aptara’s Educational Publishing Group. She has a track record in print and digital content development across a variety of preK–16 content areas. Before joining Aptara, Sonny was Director of Learning Architecture at Compass Learning, leading K–12 editorial development of digital solutions in all subject areas. Prior to that, Sonny was a member of the leadership team at QBS Learning for five years, where she served in several roles that included VP of Digital and Print Content. Sonny has also held leadership positions at Harcourt and Pearson. She holds a B.A. with Honors in Communications and an M.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.

Chris McKeown

European Director, Account Management


Chris is a publishing industry veteran with 30 years of experience in content and workflow management solutions. At Aptara, he specializes in new business development in scientific, technical, medical (STM) publishing along with Educational and ELT publishing. He has vast experience in adopting new workflows to help publishers streamline their production operation. Prior to joining Aptara in 2003, Chris worked for Cambridge University Press for over 25 years and was integral in their transformation to a XML-first workflow.

Tom Thrash

Director, Strategic Accounts


Tom has spent most of the last three decades working in the STM space of scholarly publishing. From positions related to copyediting and production editor supervision to project and account management, Tom stays up to date on publishing trends and has handled upwards of 30 clients at a time. Very well known in the industry, he just finished a lengthy term on a committee for SSP—the leading organization in the industry—including the last three as its co-chair. Tom is based in New York and has been with Aptara since 2010.
